wavy done

It was impossible to photograph this scarf and have the pattern show. But in the real world the wavy pattern shows:

This was made from Artfiber Golden Chai. It was great to work with as well. I'm sure I'll make another wavy scarf... just not quite yet :-)

Hope yours are all going well!

I'm getting there

Hi everyone

Well I'm now onto my fifth set of stitches - so I guess I'm almost half way there. I would definately recommend it to anyone who is fairly new to knitting because once you get into the swing of it it's pretty easy going - all you have to do is to remember to use your row counter. It is taking me longer than other scarves I've knitted but it looks so good it's really worth the extra effort and time - which isn't really that much anyway.

My Wavy scarf is finally done!

I'm doing the happy dance because my Wavy scarf has been completed.

Wavy scarf in Artyarns Supermerino (color 121)

This was an easy pattern. I'd highly recommend it to those who want something that looks complicated, but is simple to make. I think it's a good beginner pattern for newbies who know how to knit and purl. It's a good alternative to a garter stitch scarf (or at the very least the next step after).

Thanks for hosting this KAL. I look forward to seeing other finished scarves!

Almost done

I haven't posted my progress in a while since I really didn't work on it for a while. I managed to catch up and I'm almost done. It's about 52" long. I might make it longer since I do have one more skein of the yarn. Hopefully, I won't need it.

*scuffs feet in dirt*

OK, I admit. I've finally given up the ghost on this pattern for the time being. I don't know why, its probably because I left it to knit other things, but I had such a block on getting back to it, it just wan't fun.

So, I made the bit that I had knitted into a cover for my diary, with a mental promise to knit it fully at a later date - probably in the autumn. All I can say now, is good luck with yours, keep posting pics of your progress! (I'll post a pic of the diary, just for completeness sake) ;-D

Oh, and is the pink template getting on anyone else's nerves? I'll change it if everyone hates it!

Wavy Scarf chart

I managed to finish up the second ball of yarn. I thought I was speeding through it last night while watching the New Year's countdown. Unfortunately, I managed to knit one off and it screwed up a few rows. I had to rip back a few rows, but all is well now.

I put together a chart for the Wavy scarf pattern for those who want a visual. I posted the chart on my blog. Let me know what you think.

So....

Welcome LittleMy, glad you're finally here!

Pfft, ok. Bit of a dilemma. Not sure wether to carry on with the present Wavy, rip it and start again with a different yarn, or even to abandon it altogether. Here's the yarn:

Its not 100% accurate, but near enough. Just not sure I like it any more. Its also a bit of a pain to knit with as it's quite thin, so I'm using doubled...and I'm not sure that I have enough of the stuff. *bangs head on desk*. Sorry guys, I think I just need a kick up the arse to get sorted one way or the other. Right now it's shoved in my suitcase waiting to go back to uni - I had planned to finish it before I went back, but got sidetracked by socks for the boyfriend (which are also a quite hideous, see my blog if you want a giggle).

Oh, also, I'd forgotton to put newcomers into the bar, so please send me a blog address/site if you want to be linked.

I'm here - finally!

Hi everyone

I've just started to knit Wavy - sadly I had to frog it once after nineteen rows because I lost my concentration and I really didn't feel confident enough to try to get all the stitches back on the needle after just frogging the incorrect rows - oh well! Anyway I'm knitting it in Jaeger Matchmaker Aran ( a bluey shade it's 754 I don't know the name ) and it does seem to look nice - sorry no pix at the moment ( I don't have a digital camera but I'll see what I can do - maybe I can borrow one ). Anyway I'll keep you updated I'm sure once I've got into the swing of it it'll be knitted a bit quicker - I hope so I don't want to finish it just as it gets too warm to wear scarf - I want to show it off!
